Kitchen refurbishment

This kitchen was tired, having been previously re-doored the units were falling apart. The owner wanted a fresh look, with stone flooring, and shaker style units. A double width glass partition door was also removed, which had an inconvenient frame to step over, and the space was filled in to a single glass panelled door.

The old kitchen was entirely removed, as you can see. The ceiling, which was covered in old wallpaper and had also suffered water damage was also completely removed and replaced. The whole room was re-skimmed for a lovely smooth finish. The units chosen by the customer were fitted, plumbed, and wired all with our management. Space was at a premium, so corners were well used, and soft door-closures fitted everywhere possible.

The owner is very pleased with the results!

Mark has done a fantasic job, and has been very tidy throughout the work. He has been courteous, polite, and very helpful in helping me build my dream kitchen!

Garden Fencing

Old tired panel fencing and posts/boards were replaced with a tidy new installation.

Bathroom refit

This bathroom was in need of a fresh new look. MR Builders completely gutted the bathroom back to bare walls. Then the room was re-plastered, and the new suite fitted, followed by re-tiling to the customer’s desires. In our normal style, we were meticulous in covering walkways, removing debris in bags, and minimising any mess in the home.

Retaining Wall with steep gradient

This landscaping job, entailed building a two tiered retaining wall arrangement comprising a flight of steps through both, slabbing, and finishing as shown in the pictures. The customer was very happy indeed with the outcome, which is tidy, and modern.

Retaining walls – with high side wall

The customers requirements were to provide new steps up a slight gradient, and tier them off, building in retaining walls to hold back the earth, plus a long retaining wall to the side of the garden.

Fascia and guttering revived

Block paving and tarmac driveway

One of our early jobs in Wollaston. Many of the local residents were clearly impressed because we subsequently secured a number of similar jobs in the immediate area.

The old driveway was completely excavated and removed from site. Although the customer wanted a tarmac driveway, he didn’t want “just” tarmac. We suggested using attractive block paving around the outside, which the customer instantly took to. After choosing the precise bricks and colour, we set to work.

The customer also asked for two steps out of the doors, and these were built using charcole KL edgeing kirbs and filled in with block paving to match the drive.

The customer was very pleased with the job, and we have returned since to carry out additional projects for them.

Conservatory Base

MR Builders were contracted to construct the base for a new conservatory. We dug the footing and built the foundations, lay the concrete floor slab and built the walls to the requirements of the customer’s designs. In this case, the conservatory was being constructed by others.

Another Canopy Roof

This job involved tile hanging, or canopy roofs as most people know them. The tiles were really old and starting to be breached by the weather so they were stripped off, the structure re-felted, lathed, and re-tiled using new tiles. We also tiled around the bay window to match the canopy.
